Celestun to Rio Largos
On the notrthwest corner of the Yucatan peninsula you'll find a quiet little fishing vllage called Celestun. You should read more about it. The Yucatan is blessed with thousands of fresh water springs which sustain all of it's varied life forms.

Driving northeast up and around the "corner" of the Yucatan, you'll see traditional Mayan homes along the coast. On the north coast of the peninsula you'll arrive in Chelem. This entire coast becomes a biosphere reserve and is widely know as a birder's paradise.

Luis will take you out into the estuary to see the huge abundance of bird species, the turtles and he may even show you where the Permit are biting.

After Luis gives you the lay of the land, you can take the Kayak out and search for your own flock of seagulls. Viva los Flamingos! See where they are.
