Images from Carlsbad Caverns National Park.

January 27 - February 4, 2003

Doesn't look like much, but just beneath the surface of the land in this photo are 100 known caves and the deepest limestone cave in the nation. Scott visited in January and early February and recorded some of what he saw in his artwork.

Taken in one of the cavern's most beautiful chambers; King's Palace. I could go on and on about this National Park, but the official website is the best I've yet seen. After you enjoy Parker's work and photos on these pages, go check out the Official website by clicking this link. Remember that one of Scott's objectives for the National Parks Project is to generate interest and awareness in these national treasures. Learning more about the parks and visiting them are ways you can take part in Scott's National Parks Project. Learn, Visit, Appreciate and Enjoy.

Scott is very careful to protect the area around his easel in the "Big Room". Working from the public area can be a challenge, but the effort is well worth it.
